A Workshop for Girls Ages 10–15
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Thank you for your interest in allowing your child to participate in Me Before We: Knowing Who I Am in Christ Before Choosing Relationships, a faith-based workshop designed to empower girls ages 10–15 to develop a strong sense of identity, self-worth, healthy relationships, and personal boundaries.
The purpose of this workshop is to help young girls understand their value as individuals, build confidence, make healthy choices in friendships and future relationships, and learn age-appropriate principles regarding self-respect, emotional wellness, and personal safety. The workshop is rooted in Christian values and emphasizes that each participant is uniquely created and loved by God.
Workshop Topics Include:
- “I Am Royal” – Self-Worth – What it means to be a daughter of the King. (Identity) Girls will learn that their value comes from God and not people. (Self-esteem)
- Ages 10-12 – Uniquely made by God. Comparing myself to others. Confidence in who God made me to be.
- Ages 13-15 – Identity beyond appearance and social media
- “Who’s in My Circle?” – Choosing Friends – Biblical qualities of a good friend. Peer pressure and people-pleasing.
- Ages 10-12 – Bullying & Positive peer influence
- Ages 13-15 – Gossiping & toxic friendships
- “Guarding My Heart” – Choosing Boyfriends
- Only Ages 13-15 – Character traits that are pleasing to God. Physical and Emotional Boundaries
- “Love That Looks Like God” – Healthy vs Unhealthy Relationships – Respecting self and others.
- Ages 10-12 – Honesty & Kindness
- Ages 13-15 – Types of abuse. Manipulation, Jealousy, Controlling behavior, Communication, and Trust.
- “My Body Is Sacred” – Abstinence & Purity
- Ages 10-12 – Personal space. Privacy. Safe and inappropriate touches. Hygiene. Saying “no”
- Ages 13-15 – Abstinence. God’s design for intimacy. Sexual pressure.
Please note that discussions regarding relationships and personal boundaries will be presented in an age-appropriate, educational, and faith-based manner. No graphic or explicit content will be shared.
